Macintosh Setup Instructions

Click on Apple Menu->Control Panels->TCP/IP (or something similar depending on your system)

Now select:
in the connect via: menu PPP
Configure: Using PPP Server
Type in the Name server addr.: 208.49.32.2  (Sturgeon Bay)
For Algoma use server addr:    65.164.120.2

Type in the Additional Search domains: doorpi.net
(The rest should be left empty for normal dial-up account.)

Click on Apple Menu->Control Panels->Remote Access

Now Click on the Registered User so it is selected
Type in the following boxes:
Name: your account name
Password: your account password(optional if you want to keep it so you need to enter the password everytime you connect then leave it blank)
Number: your dial-up number

Click on Apple Menu->Control Panels->Internet

Now in the first box type your name, the second box your e-mail address, and the third is option for an organization or business name to go in but it is not necessary. After you are finished click on the e-mail panel (up where the mouse is in the picture).

Here you have a couple of things. First User Account ID: that's for your account name. incomming mail server and outgoing mail server are both mail.doorpi.net also enter your login password in the password field. On the bottom of the window you can select your e-mail program.
If you want you can also check the e-mail notification check boxes to notify you when you have mail by either flashing icon, a message box, or a sound. After you are finished click on the Web Panel.

On this one you should set your Home Page: to http://home.doorpi.net and your search page to a search engine like http://www.google.com or http://www.yahoo.com. On the bottom of the window select your default Web Browser.

Click on Apple Menu->Control Panels->Modem
Select from the connect via: Modem Port, Modem: (Just select the modem that you have if it is not listed then use a generic modem that is for your modem speed probably the 56000 one though), sound: on, Dial: tone.

Now close the windows you just opened if you already haven't and if they ask to save click save and
That is It!


If you are experiancing problems check in the AppleTalk control panel and that it is set to connect via: remote only.
